Published: 12th July 2012 16:56

Hundreds of children and young people from across South Gloucestershire descended on the South Gloucestershire and Stroud College WISE campus for the 11th Festival of Youth Sport on Saturday July 7.

In the run up to the day, children have been receiving coaching in various sports at their own schools before competing in the biggest sports day of its kind organised for youngsters in the West.

The event was officially opened by Cllr Ian Boulton, Vice Chairman of South Gloucestershire Council, along with TV presenter Sherrie Eugene Hart. Sponsors Airbus provided some added entertainment when employee Tim Cooke and friends skydived into the arena and local bhangra group RSVP lead a lively procession around the track before the event was officially declared open.

And the winners are...
