Festive Season Quiz (oh so hard!) available

Festive Season Quiz (oh so hard!) available

Are you a Wise Man or a Donkey; a Turkey or a Little Star?

In aid of the Mildmay charity, each Christmas time in a little town in Hertfordshire, a couple of sadists produce a quiz with which to torture the unsuspecting populace. Are you TOUGH ENOUGH to participate? Read on.....

This year, we have again persuaded this dastardly dreadful duo to let us introduce all you clever readers to the quiz too!

Basically, it consists of 120 cryptic clues for which the answers (this year) relate to "All Creatures Great and Small" (no, not the TV series, but animals).  (Themes from previous years have included such as football teams, rivers, fruit & veg., and body parts) BUT the good thing is that you are also provided with all the answers too !

"Oh goody" we hear you say, but don't be too hasty because for the 120 questions, you are provided with over 240 answers !!! And it isn't as easy as you may think to attach the correct answer to each clue.

The cost of the quiz is just £2 (in aid of the Mildmay charity). You can get the questions (and answers!) sent to you either by post or by email. First of all , send an email to rober1980@btopenworld.com (note that this is ROBER1980, and not ROBERT980) asking for a copy of the quiz. In the subject box, enter "QUIZ - AMA ENx" where "x" would be the EN AMA site you're looking at now (either 7, 8, 10, or 11) (eg "QUIZ - AMA EN10"). That allows them to see the uptake and what a powerful community site this is! In the body of the email state your name and address, and whether you want it sent to you by post or email. You will receive an email in return giving Pam and Steve's address. You will then need to send them a cheque or postal order for £2 (DO NOT FORGET TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF WHEN YOU SEND THE PAYMENT.) On receipt of that, they will then send you your copy of the quiz - consisiting of the 120 clues and the 240+ POSSIBLE answers - your task, should you choose to accept it, will be to select  the correct answer to each clue..

(To keep costs down, and to maximise the time you have to spend on the quiz itself, we would suggest that you use email as much as possible, especially at this time of year with so much strain on the Royal Mail.)

Believe us when we say these quizzes can give you hours of "pleasure", all for two quid, and the chance of three monetary prizes (£25, £15, £10) - where else can you get such value for money? And all in aid of charity too. Entries need to be in by 4th February 2013, and that isn't as far off as it seems when it comes to finding answers for these questions.

We shall be entering this quiz ourselves again this year, so all that remains is for us to wish all of you the very best of luck and hope you come second !!!.

Oh, and a very merry Christmas!
