If you are 50 years of age, or older, get your diaries ready for a superb event! This year's ‘Ageing Well Exhibition', previously known as the Bedford Borough 50+ Festival, is taking place at the Bedford Corn Exchange, on Wednesday 30th May, from 10am - 3pm. The day is set up for those 50+ who are looking for ways to live life to the full.
On the day, there will be an array of stalls hosted by up to 43 different charities and organisations, all serving to provide information and advice and guidance on matters that affect people later in life. Free health checks will also be available for some visitors up to 74 years old, and living in Bedford.
Interest areas that are of importance to this age group from health matters to seeking possible hobbies for retirement, household security and benefit advice and even a chance to enter the Free Prize Draw to win tickets to a Bedford Corn Exchange show will be available on the day!
The Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson, who will be opening the event, said: "Some people may have a fear that as they get older, they may not feel as valued or may find their lifestyle choices are limited. However, there is no reason why life should feel any less vibrant and appealing at this stage in life. It's also a time when you may want to make plans for the future and seek advice and guidance. This event outlines how much support is available to help people continue to live happy and healthy lives."
