Magpas Asks More Supporters Across The East Of England To Reach For The Skies And Jump For Joy!
Magpas supporters get ready to take their jump at Sibson
Airfield in PeterboroughAfter the success of this summer's official Magpas Sky Dive, a new date has been set for next year. At the end of June, a group of 17 supporters decided to do a jump and raised almost £5,500 for The Emergency Medical Charity. It started off as the brain child of award winning Cambridgeshire Business owner Sue Papworth, who runs Toad's School of Driving. A group of Sue's pupils signed up for the event (together with Sue) and soon other local businesses and students came forward to jump 15,000 feet. For example, Adam Fernandes from WKH Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors, Kathryn Fletcher from Cambridge Business for Breakfast, Jacqui Kemp Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner and even Magpas Chief Executive Daryl Brown joined in on the experience.
Magpas Chief Executive Daryl Brown just
before he did his sky dive!Daryl says, "Taking part in the 2010 Magpas Skydive was an exhilarating experience! It was one of the most incredible moments of my life. Free falling from 15,000 feet and then gliding gently to the ground with amazing sights of the countryside, there is simply nothing to compare it to. It took a huge amount of courage for all of those involved to jump. I personally dislike heights but knowing the money I raised on that day, enabled Magpas Helimedix to attend patients whose lives are in danger in our region is incredible. I would urge everyone across the Eastern Region to give it a go on either of the dates next year!"
If you'd like to join the team for next year's airborne Magpas extravaganza, why not put 30th June & 1st July 2012 in your diary. Young Farmers across the Eastern Region will be including the event in their calendar, will you? For more information, please contact Magpas on (01480) 316 060 or email info@magpas.org.uk.
