Northants Cricket League Premier Division
Peterborough Town 1st XI v Stony Stratford 1st XI
Stony Stratford (124 all out) lost to Peterborough (128 for 2) by 8 wickets.
Stony Stratford suffered a heavy defeat away at league leaders Peterborough. Batting first, Stony were bowled out for 124 in a little under 40 overs. Paul West (24) and Simon Myatt (24) were the only batsmen to make significant contributions, as Ajaz Akhtar took 5 wickets for just 17 runs for the home team.
Peterborough were positive in their reply and reached the required total in under 28 overs. The result leaves Stony Stratford bottom of the division. They'll be looking to climb off bottom spot when they host Old Northamptonians at Ostlers Lane next Saturday.

Stony Stratford 2nd XI v Peterborough 2nd XI
Peterborough (212 for 5) drew with Stony Stratford (139 for 9)
Stony 2nd team held on for a valuable draw at home against Peterborough. The visitors batter first and notched up 212 from their 50 overs. Opener Alex Mitchell top scored with 61, while Neil Allen took 3 wickets for 48 runs from 11 overs.
In reply, Stony started fairly well, but then struggled after they lost both of their openers. Wickets continued to fall throughout the innings. It was left to the final pairing of Richard Lines and David Avery to see out the final few overs to avoid defeat.
The result means that Stony Stratford stay in second place in the league behind leaders Peterborough, with local rivals Towcestrians only a few points behind in third.

Stony Stratford 3rd XI v Weekley & Warkton 2nd XI
Weekley & Warkton (111 all out) lost to Stony Stratford (112 for 5) by 5 wickets.
Stony Stratford won easily against Weekley & Warkton. Weekly batted first and were dismissed for just 11 runs, with Neil Fewtrell taking 5 wickets for 26 runs from 12.5 overs. Lee Fox was the only batsman to show any resistance, scoring 60.
In reply Stony reached their target in just 26 overs. James Bell (62) and Andy Preston (30) did the majority of the work before the middle knocked off the final few runs.
