Mum's 2 Be Show Raises Money for the Gosset Ward at Northampton General Hospital
The Mum's 2 Be Show took place in Odell's Yard on Saturday. The event, Hosted by the Latte & Miele Childerns Emporium, was well attended and visitors we greeted with displays from a number of local independent businesses.
Raffle tickets were sold by Latte & Miele to help raise money for the Gosset Ward at Northampton General Hospital. The Gosset Ward is a neonatal intensive care unit which cares for newborn babies who require some form of special high dependency or intensive care nursing.
They are currenty raising money to purchase an AccuVein®. Nurses are often dealing with babies with no visible veins by the human eyes. Failure to locate a vein at first attempt is 47% in children. To make the baby's experience a lot less traumatic and the nurses more effective, the AccuVein® enables nurses to locate the babies veins beneath the skin. The cost of the AccuVein® is approximately £4,000.

Raffle tickets are still available. If you would like to buy one, or if you would like to make a donation to the fund, pop in to Latte & Miele in Odell's Yard in Stony Stratford during opening hours - Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm.
