Now that summer's finally here, celebrate the sunshine with The Parks Trust's World Picnic on 29 July from 1pm - 6pm at Campbell Park. It's the perfect place to sit back and revel in a free celebration of multicultural music and dance on the amphitheatre stage, sample some international cuisine or relax with a picnic.
The line-up includes the comedian Hardeep Singh Kohli, who will be officially opening the World Picnic at 12.55pm. The day will also include a display of African drumming, an unmissable performance from European Salon Tango Champions Alexandra Baldaque and Fernando Jorge, some classical Indian dance, choirs and a band featuring banjos, ukuleles and mandolins.
The dance stage will see energetic performances from MK Salsa and MK Tango, while the Scribal Gathering Tent will host an open mic session and performances by local artists.
The World Picnic marks the final day of the Milton Keynes International Festival 2012 and throughout the afternoon the Festival will be presenting a series of events including Guixot de 8 - large, colourful mechanical puzzles and games from Barcelona, witty and breathtaking physical acrobatics from "The Man Who Loses His Buttons" and music and circus skills from MuMu Circus.
