13 May: Celebrity Kick-off in aid of Magpas

St Ives Town Football Club have teamed up with Magpas - The Emergency Medical Charity for a Celebrity Football Match on May 13th. The event will be supporting Magpas Helimedix; the only enhanced medical team available both night and day in East of England. ‘End Of Your Rainbow Events' are organising the celeb team.
Celebrity Utd will be captained by Luther Blissett and the team will hopefully include; MC Harvey, Spencer from Big Brother, possibly DJ Spoony and Ben Shepherd amongst others - but the exact line up is yet to be confirmed. (Please see all the information as below).
The plan is to make this an annual event (for at least three years running). Local company Luminus have agreed to be the sole sponsor of our Magpas XI Football team kit, Mick George are sponsoring our ‘Man of the Match' trophy and St Ives Town Football Club have been incredibly supportive.
The Magpas XI kit will be orange and black (to match the Magpas Helimedix uniforms). We will have former Magpas patients and members of the Magpas Helimedix team playing for Magpas XI. Celebrity United will be wearing blue and black for the match and the celeb players are happy to sign autographs for spectators after the game. There will also be a speed football competition on the day.
