Prickwillow Ploughing Festival Near Ely, 7th - 8th October 2017
Families in and near Ely will be delighted to hear that JeZo the magician will be performing two stage shows a day on Saturday and Sunday as well as making balloon models for the children.
He'll be arriving for 1pm both days at the venue, near Ely. Magic shows at 1.30pm and 3pm Saturday, 1pm and 2.30 Sunday. There will be a fairground ride and inflatable slide as well as the opportunity to ride on Thomas the Train.
Horses and tractors, stationary engines, classic cars and commercial vehicles, traction engines and models.
Crafts, trade stands, bygones and demonstrations.
Hot food, charity tea shop with home-made cakes, real ale beer (Bartrams Brewery).
We are very pleased to welcome back fabulous live music from The Hobblers on Saturday, and The Tildens (roots/Americana/country blues) on Saturday and Sunday. Artists from local folk clubs will also be performing both days.
Create a truly unique piece of clothing or a stylish pillowcase by trying your hand at fabric printing with Sarah (for a small charge). You can either buy a pillow case to print or BRING YOUR OWN t-shirt. It needn't be new, but it must be cotton and white or a light colour.
There will be artists and crafts in both the Museum and the Barn this year, along with the popular vintage and bygones, models, children's activities and charity cafes.
Our collection of expertly restored diesel engines will be running inside the Museum throughout the day, including the spectacular Vickers Petter, which has recently undergone extensive work by our team of volunteers. Our volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions about the engines.
We are selling 2 day passes for the Ploughing Festival at the reduced price of £10 (instead of £12) until 10th September. They can be purchased at the Museum or online via Oliver Cromwell's House in Ely.
