    Good Friday saw the annual running of the Kings Lynn CC 10 mile TT, held at Tottenhill, a total of 14 riders from Ely & District/B&T Motor Repair Cycling Club took part.     The weekend saw a number of Ely & District Cycling Club riders in action on the road and off road. Saturday saw Phillip Gosling, Darren Bennett and Derek Ricketts take part in the Lea Valley CC 25 for Ely. Gosling recording the fastest time of the trio, finishing in 53 minutes and 48 seconds.

  • Ely win but struggle to field fifteen against Lowestoft and Yarmouth

    Ely struggled to field fifteen against second-from-bottom Lowestoft and Yarmouth. Ely assumed it would be an easy win but Lowestoft had the first shot at posts after they intercepted a pass but were brought down before the line. The penalty was missed and the Tigers fought back. Ely gained a penalty for a high tackle and kicked for the corner.

    Jockey Robbie Dunne celebrated the news of his Randox Health Grand National mount by riding a winner at Huntingdon Racecourse. As the latest confirmations came in for Saturday’s £1 million spectacular at Aintree, it was revealed that Gas Line Boy would definitely make the final 40 runners for the rider.

  • Ely dominate Basildon at Downham Road with a 47-12 victory

    Ely Tigers were caught unaware in first fifteen minutes when Basildon used the blindside to their advantage and crossed the white wash for an unconverted try.     Saturday afternoon saw Ely & District Cycling Club members in action at two different events, at Risby, Bury St Edmunds. It was the West Suffolk Wheelers Hilly 21 mile TT, fastest club riders was Robert Golding who posted a time of 50 minutes and 36 seconds. Rory Havis finished with 51:44 on the clock, while John Manlow, 56:42 and Stephen Croft, 59
