GERMAN SHEPHERD RESCUE CAMBS, NORFOLK & SUFFOLK
Its purpose is for finding loving homes for the dogs that have come into GSD rescue through no fault of their own. If you own a German Shepherd or are looking to home a German Shepherd we would love you to join us.
GSD Rescue is not a charity and every penny we make via fundraising events or donations goes directly to the dogs. We desperately need good and loving foster homes too. We are also looking for good fund raisers and any ideas for fun raising events especially as we have just been presented with a huge great vet bill!! SOME OF OUR DOGS NEEDING FOREVER HOMES
Andre
Andre' is a real little sweetheart. He is an 8 year old smooth coated white male GSD... but like many of the white's his coat has now turned Sandy/Ginger. We have had him vaccinated, frontline, wormed and neutered, he is in good health and has the energy of a two year old but he is not boisterous at all. Sadly Andre' recently lost his partner Phoebe so he has been feeling a little lost and lonely without her bless his heart. Andre has been shut outdoors to live all of his life....his shelter was a tiny shed like building with no protection from mother nature.....his feeding bowl was full of rust and his drinking bowl full of green water. When we picked him up, the poor little boy was afraid to come indoors. AMazingly, Andre was clean indoors right from the start and has carried on with his good record. He is such a sweet little boy, not very big for a German Shepherd but has loads of character and love to give.
Andre' is living with other dogs at the moment but would prefer not to be ... we think he would just love a home of his own now ... however he is very good with cats.
Andre' has been interactive with children ages 6,7 and 11 but as he has not actually lived with younger children in the home we would prefer to home him with children 12 years and upwards in the family or to a couple with no children.

Rocky
Rocky is a three year old smooth coated male German Shepherd, he is a silver sable and a real stunning looking boy. Rocky is house trained, fully vaccinated, neutered, micro-chipped, and frontline and wormed, he is also in great shape and good health. He is in intense training at the moment to work on his recall and general outdoor behaviour and also his social graces with other dogs and cats.
Rocky Always had a problem with his recall. If something attracted his eye that was more interestinghe would be off after it and did not want to know about coming back too soon so he has been restricted to being on lead for his walks until now. He is doing well and in less than 2 weeks has learnt his recall and is off his lead over the Fens on his walks. However he is still a little headstrong so we are looking for a very experienced GSD person to carry on with his training and maybe someone that enjoys working trials as we think Rocky would shine at this as he is already doing some of this in his training now and he just loves it. Rocky will be a stunning and loyal companion for his new Mum and Dad if they are prepared to invest the time with him.
We would like to home Rocky to a family without children, he has lived with teenagers in the past but we feel that he needs more of a one to one bonding with his owner rather than a family dog.

Meg
Meg is a long haired Black and Tan Female. She is seven years old and was born on Valentine's Day, very appropriate for such a loving little girl. She has been Vaccinated, Spayed, Frontlined and Wormed. Meg has only been with us two days and she needs a nice bath and a good brush through, which we will give her as soon as she is fully settled down. Meg has a really nice laid back personality ... she is lovely with people and lovely with other dogs too. We don't know about cats yet!
Meggie needs a good and loving home and has come into the rescue through no fault of her own but due to a marriage break up. She was being left on her own and had started to bite her leg and feet due to the stress of being so lonely. Meg has settled down very quickly and has made friends with everyone human and canine alike and is no longer chewing with stress. She has a good hearty appetite and a sweet sparkle in her eyes.
We are looking for a couple with no children or a family with children over the age of twelve years for our Meg. She has lived with children in the past. We would also like to home Meg with another friendly dog like she is as we think she would like this very much.

We do not home to people that are in full time work or with unsecured gardens or to people wanting our rescue dogs for guard dogs or security work .. we only home to good and loving domestic homes and a vet check and home check will be essential before homing and also a donation is requested upon homing one of our dogs as without this we could not keep our rescue running.
