St Johns Ambulance - St Neots Priory Quadrilateral Division
| Published: 4th April 2008 15:58 |
St Neots priory quadrilateral division is a local division of St John ambulance, we are based in St Neots but we also cover events in the surrounding villages. As a division of St John ambulance we believe that no one should do without first aid especially when they need it the most, which is why our dedicated volunteers provide first aid cover at a variety of local events throughout the year. We also offer general first aid information courses to the public because having general first aid knowledge can help save lives.
Our division is made up of three sections; these are the badgers (ages 5-10), cadets (ages 10-16) and adults (16+). You don't need any qualifications or first aid knowledge to join St Johns as we train tall of our members, so if you have an interest in first aid and would like to give something back to the community why not join us.
If you would like to join our division as a member or book us to cover your local event contact Allan Oliver on 01480 215970.
In 2006 and 2007 with help from the general public and the weekly news we ran a fundraising campaign to raise money to buy a new first aid unit. We successfully raised over £21,000 and we are expecting the unit to be ready in the summer this year. The unit will provide somewhere sheltered from the weather for us to treat casualties, it will also be equipped with essentials such as running water, a rest area for casualties, advance first aid equipment and lifesaving oxygen. However we are still trying to raise enough money to buy some of these essentials to equip the unit with so that we can provide more advance first aid which could help save lives.
If you would like to make a donation to our division or organise a fundraising event to help us raise these funds please contact Allan Oliver 01480 215970.
