Surfing Safely

Using your computer can be fun if you follow a few safety tips:-
Personal Information - Don't give out personal information. Always keep your name, address, mobile phone number, and password private.
Never Meet Up - Never, never, never arrange to meet a person you have been chatting to online, unless your parents are completely aware. You may think you know who you are talking to but this could be dangerous.
Junk Mail can get you into trouble - Opening emails from people you don't know can cause lots of problems with your computer. Delete any emails you are unsure of or show an adult before opening them.
Chat rooms can be fun - you can have lots of fun chatting to your friends over the internet but someone online may not be who they say they are. Never give out personal information or arrange to meet up with the person you are talking to. Some people might not be who they say they are.
Worried - Always tell your parent or another adult if you feel worried or scared when you are in a chat room.
