CAT FOOD DROP OFF POINTS NEEDED
St Neots & District Cats Protection is your local animal charity, we raise 95% of our funds ourselves with just a small grant from Head Office. Our revenue comes from the charity shop in Cross Keys Mall, St Neots and from donations made in the course of our cat work. Our funds are spent solely on cats in our own area, so you can be sure that all donations, be it cash, new and used goods for our charity shop, cat food and cat equipment will be used for the benefit of cats in your local area. We have 12 holding and homing pens as well as several home fosterers housing anything up to 20 cats at a time, all looking for loving new homes.
We manage over a dozen feral colonies and feed over 200 stray, wild and outdoor cats on a continuous basis. One area where we are always in desperate need, is cat food. With the feeding programs and the care of all the cats in our foster pens, we need the equivalent of about 40,000 tins a year which is very expensive. To help with this we propose an easy drop off point in most localities where unwanted, unused or simply kind donations of cat food can be delivered and where our volunteers will then collect it from, on a regular basis. This could be a home address, a local business, school or community building where the branch can place a labeled plastic storage box, the contents of which can be emptied and stored ready for collection. If you are able to provide this location or know someone who could help please email me at dawn.cowtan@ntlworld.com or telephone me on 07966 282005.
We also offer a free neutering/spaying service in your community and can provide transport if necessary so we form a great local partnership to ensure the welfare, health, safety and happiness of all cats in our area. Loving homes are always needed for cats in our care and should you need to re-home your own cat, we are here to help. All cat enquiries can be made by telephoning 01480 476696 or 07900 257061. For all lost and found enquiries or if you need to report a cat on the road, please call 07904 701908,
THANKYOU
