"I found out about the PE19 About My Area Website through another advertiser, I was able to advertise my Rainbow Spiritual Fair on the site and also to read about all other events locally. Although my Fair has now been held, I shall continue to look at this site which I find far more interesting than the local newspaper, there are so many things to look at and it is easy to find your way around the site. It is nice to find something which promotes all events, large or small and of so many varied interests. Keep up the good work."

Black Cat Radio Going Live

Published: 14th July 2008 15:15

Thanks to an "Awards For All" grant from the National Lottery, community radio is set to return to Huntingdon and St. Neots.  Black Cat Radio is planning to resume broadcasting on 19th July 2008 on 87.7 FM. This follows a successful trial broadcast last summer when it attracted a huge audience.

The station is fronted by BBC presenter Tony Gillham and is supported by Mark Hansard  and a team of volunteers who will transmit programmes 24 hours a day.

Black Cat Radio is delighted at the award which was obtained with the help of Pam Davenport of the Hunts Forum of Voluntary Organisations, following a visit to the station by local MP Jonathan Djanogly. The money will pay for the required licences from Ofcom and Performing Right Society.

Black Cat Radio is currently broadcasting live on the web (http://www.blackcatradio.co.uk/) and anyone who can help can contact the studio on 01480-810101 or e-mail studio@blackcatradio.co.uk

Well done for this morning on the radio. You both promoted the site very well and came across really well. Have enjoyed listening to the radio this week.

Thanks Hayley, we had a great time and it was so exciting to have the opportunity to speak on the Radio to promote the site, lets see how many people we can get involved.
The Station needs lots of support so they can get a full time licence to go on air full time, please email them your support, they deserve it.
