Black Cat Radio Going Live
| Published: 14th July 2008 15:15 |
Thanks to an "Awards For All" grant from the National Lottery, community radio is set to return to Huntingdon and St. Neots. Black Cat Radio is planning to resume broadcasting on 19th July 2008 on 87.7 FM. This follows a successful trial broadcast last summer when it attracted a huge audience.
The station is fronted by BBC presenter Tony Gillham and is supported by Mark Hansard and a team of volunteers who will transmit programmes 24 hours a day.
Black Cat Radio is delighted at the award which was obtained with the help of Pam Davenport of the Hunts Forum of Voluntary Organisations, following a visit to the station by local MP Jonathan Djanogly. The money will pay for the required licences from Ofcom and Performing Right Society.
Black Cat Radio is currently broadcasting live on the web (http://www.blackcatradio.co.uk/) and anyone who can help can contact the studio on 01480-810101 or e-mail studio@blackcatradio.co.uk
