HMVC Celebrate End of Summer Concert Season

Consistently judged the leading male voice choir in Estonia the visitors performed to a full house on Sunday and with a unique programme of Estonian Folk and Classical Music they delighted the audience. Performing a contrasting selection of music ranging from the rousing "Heart of Oak", to the Anthem from the Musical "Chess ", Huntingdon Male Voice Choir's programme gave an ideal balance to the concert.
Under the baton of Peter Davies, Musical Director of Huntingdon Male Voice Choir the joint finale was the rousing Llanfair, learned specially by the visitors and sung in English which "Brought the house down".
Completing their visit to the county the Estonian visitors had a tour of Cambridge, on Monday with the opportunity to sing in the Kings College Chapel, rounded off by a visit to Southwark Cathedral before flying back to Tallinn.
Huntingdon Male Voice Choir now take a break until Thursday September 4th when they welcome choir members old and new to the first rehearsal of the new season at Hinchingbrooke House commencing at 7.30pm.
Joining the choir is easy, if your male, twenties upwards, and free on Thursday nights and want to sing your assured of a very warm welcome. The choir has a no auditions policy and it is not necessary to be able to read music.
Next opportunity to see the Choir in concert is on Saturday 11th October at All Saints Church Sawtry at 7.30pm
