An Update from The Mayor

Hi just an update on what I have been involved with in representing St Neots.
Since my last report one of my duties was in Wisbeach which was held in the local church where there was rather a magnificant flower festival. I was thinking maybe we could try and do somthing similar in St Neots.
I am also involved as the Honorary (unpaid) Welfare Officer for the St. Neots RAFA and in 2008 the RAF is 90 and the local RAFA Branch is 60 so a good theme for a flower festival could be flight.
By the way Bedford Town band will be playing on the market square between 10 and 12 on 15th September.
This weekend is Carnival and I would like to thank everyone with the organisation of this the 60th year. Can you help with the 61st ?
Every year I ask different organisations to help raise funds for my selected charities, for example St. Neots St. Marys Rotory along with Wyboston Lakes golf club have arranged a charity golf day in aid of the Mayors Charities.
There is also on 14th September a murder mystery night. All assistance to raise funds for the charities listed below would be appreciated this years charities are Lukemia reserch, Acorn Cancer Care Group St. Neots based, Hunts Mind St. Neots based Carers UK, to help local children who care for their parents and the 2005 Sqd (St. Neots)ATC.
