406 (Willesden) Squadron Air Training Corps

The Air Training Corps (ATC) is a uniformed youth organisation for girls and boys, aged 13 to 18, who participate in many events in the local community. Cadets enjoy a wide range of activities such as:

flying
gliding
adventure
training
shooting
annual camps at RAF Stations
the Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme

Subjects cadets learn include basic communications (radio), RAF and ATC history, first aid, airmanship, map reading, drill, initial expedition training and the history of flight.
A BTEC in aviation studies can be gained by passing examinations at senior level. Other projects and activities include computer projects, camping, aircraft modelling and a large range of sports.

We also participate in Queen's Park Open Day and other local community events.
