Keep fit made easy at Bridge Park

Published: 15th September 2006 09:47
Want to keep fit but feel that gyms are too expensive and out of reach? Now if you are living or working within reach of the Stonebridge/Harlesden area you now have easy access to brand new modern, fully-equipped fitness studios opened in August at Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre.

The new studios are bigger and fully-equipped with over 40 stations of cardio vascular equipment and resistance machines. The equipment, supplied by Nautilus Fitness Limited, has a number of stations are suitable for wheelchair users, plus a free weights area with a Smith Machine and both studios are air-conditioned and have Sky TV. The centre also offers an air conditioned aerobics studio with over 12 classes per week including Spinning and Boxercise™ plus there are male and female sauna and steam rooms.

Centre Manager Mark Young said ‘We are delighted to open the new studios as the new equipment is the latest available and designed to meet the needs of all users, whatever their age’.

The council has kept prices for the facilities at affordable levels, starting at only £2.15 per session up to a maximum of £31 per month for a fully inclusive package. There are no joining fees or contracts to sign. To find out more about what’s on offer at Bridge Park, ring the centre on 020 8937 3730 or pop down.

This refurbishment is all part of the council's programme to improve sports facilities in Brent, which also includes a new £16 million sports centre opening in Willesden in November, with two swimming pools, a sports hall, health and fitness facilities, dojo, plus indoor and outdoor athletics tracks.
