London Youth Games

On Sunday 25th February Brent’s London Youth Games Girls Cricket team travelled to Barking to compete in the qualifying rounds of the competition. This year the team were up against Havering, Islington and Newham. Islington withdrew from the competition granting Brent a win. Facing tough opposition in Havering and Newham, Brent competed well, however lost both these games.
The girls finished in joint 15th place earning a well respected 28 points from 50 towards the borough’s final scoring which they are to be congratulated upon.
The team was made up of year 7 & 8 girls from Alperton Community School. The team were coached by John Haskell and Christine Alloway
