This year’s activity programme features over 30 sports, including old favourites like football, basketball and boxing, and exciting new additions like ultimate frisbee, circus skills and Parkour – otherwise known as free-running.
The success of the council scheme has seen it triple in size in just a few years. Last year, more than 900 people took part.
This year’s scheme kicks off on 23 July, and runs until the end of August. Activities are either free or cost just a couple of pounds on average per session.
Most activities are aimed at young people, but there are also some for adults.
Would-be participants are being urged to book now for sessions as they get snapped up early.
Councillor Irwin Van Colle, Brent Council¹s Lead Member for Environment, Planning and Culture said: “We aim to provide high quality sports activities, to encourage more people to be active regularly.
"Our summer sports programme has been a huge success. We offer fun and exciting activities throughout July and August, either free or at prices that are very good value for money.
"The programme attracts hundreds of young people and has got bigger every year. There¹s something for everyone, whatever your interest. The most popular activities book up fast, so contact us now to ensure your place.”
