The race is on to join the NSPCC’s half marathon team

Fancy running a half marathon through leafy Greenwich or London's iconic royal parks while raising money for the NSPCC?
The Sony Ericsson Run to the Beat Half Marathon (27 September) and The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon (11 October), both in their second year, have now opened their doors to recruiting this years batch of runners and the NSPCC has a limited number of places ready to offer you.
In return for a NSPCC place runners are asked to pay a £50 registration fee and to pledge to raise a minimum of £450. The NSPCC is also urging all those who already have a place to join their fundraising teams and raise much needed funds to help children.
Sarah Foster, running events project manager said, "These are really popular events and set to be great days with incredible atmospheres. We have limited places available and we are offering people of all levels of fitness the chance to have a go and help us move one step closer to ending cruelty to children. Please help us by pulling on your trainers, donning your fundraising cap and helping to bring in the pounds for the NSPCC."
