News story image for: Celia Hammond Animal Trust Lewisham

Our aim is to humanely reduce the number of unwanted dogs, puppies, cats and kittens by neutering to prevent the birth of more litters into a society where there are not enough good homes to go around.

We seek to
aid animals mainly cats suffering on the streets by neutering / treating/ rehoming stray and feral cats as needed.

Our clinics provide affordable veterinary care for pets whose owners cannot afford private veterinary fees.

For the SE13 area we offer:

1. The services of our Lewisham based Veterinary
clinic which offers low-cost neutering, vaccinations, worm and flea treatments, I.D. microchipping, and low cost treatments for animals whose owners are on benefit or low income. Our clinic can be contacted mon to Fri 9am to 5.30 pm on 02086912100.

2. Our Lewisham based rescue and rehoming team rescue and rehome stray and unwanted animals in the area. We specialise in assisting cats both domestic and feral. Our rescue team are always busy working with feral cat colonies which we
neuter and return, thus containing
their numbers.

There can be between 100 and 200 cats and kittens in the care of our Lewisham Branch (depending on time of year) These cats are cared for between our clinic premesis and foster homes.

C.H.A.T has a strict non
destruction policy and unless an animal is terminally ill and suffering they wiill be found a new home.-

Offers of new homes and foster homes always needed!

Approx 1000 cats and kittens are rehomed every year and many more stray and feral cats neutered and treated and returned to the care of local people.

Voluntary help appreciated to assist with caring for the animals (mainly cats) awaiting new homes.

Our rescue and rehoming team can be contacted on
02086946545.
