Indulge yourself while the countryside slips by.....
The Hope Valley 'Executive' Circulars are a succinct number of lunchtime special trains that offer an easy meander through the Pennines, the idea being to take it throughly easy and to tempt you with a wonderful four-course lunch.
The route the trains take have also be chosen to not only allow you to sample the food in unique surroundings,but the contrasts that only a moving train can offer.
Each train departs Crewe (dep 11.00) and calls at Warrington Bank Quay (dept 11.30), Earlstown (dept 11.45) and Manchester Victoria (dep 12.30). The train then heads via the spectacular the Hope Valley Southern Pennine route to Sheffield where we have a leg-stretch break. The train turns to head north towards the Leeds conurbation before heading west over the Northern Pennine route via Huddersfield back into Manchester Victoria to set down. We then retrace our steps back to Crewe (arr 17.30).
