Fruit fixes
Fruit is often overlooked for some reason when it comes to snacks, but nature has been kind to us fruit is low calorie per 100g, tasty, nutritious and usually comes in it's own packaging which is biodegradable.
As according to the office for National statistics reported in 2006, only 14% of men and 27% of women in England consumed five or more portions a day, while 8% of men and 6% of women consumed no fruit or vegetables, we could all do with eating more fruit and vegetables.
Apples: 53 calories per medium apple
Bananas: 95 calories per medium banana
Grapes: 60 calories per 100g
Pears: 68 calories per medium pear
Kiwi fruit: 14 calories per Kiwi
Oranges: 59 calories per medium orange
