    School Meals staff from Stockport Council's wholly owned company, Solutions SK will be doing their bit to promote healthy eating during National School Meals Week (NSMW) 2008. NSMW week runs from Monday 13th to Friday 17th October and gives schools the opportunity to showcase their own school meals.

    A man who died after being in collision with a car in Stockport has been formally identified. Shane Taylor, 35, died on Tuesday 7 October 2008.

    A pensioner who died following a collision in which the driver failed to stop has been formally identified. Dorothy Wade, 89, from Stockport, died yesterday, Wednesday 8 October 2008. Police were called to Ladybrook Road, Bramhall following a report of a robbery shortly after 2am on Wednesday 1 October 2008.
