Last night at the lovely Bay Tree Restaurant in Cheadle Village 64 members of the Cheadle Business Community united to celebrate the Community Spirit of Cheadle and to raise money for Inscape House at the Together Trust in Cheadle.
The event was the brainchild of Wendy Thompson, owner of The Cutting Room hairdressing salon who together with her hard working assistant Jo, staged a night to remember. The restaurant buzzed with the sound of laughter and conversation and the food prepared by the owner - Lucy Mulligan was excellent. The businesses all contributed to a spectacular raffle which raised £310, which Wendy handed over to Inscape House this morning who were delighted.
Garry (Wendy's husband) and Lucy (owner of Bay Tree) Wendy thanked everyone for coming - "Tonight has left me feel inspired enough to want to change the world, I have lived here for 27 years and Cheadle is such a lovely village. It's been just wonderful for all of us to get together here tonight, to meet each other and get to know each other as a community and thank you Bay Tree - it's a lovely restaurant and lovely food".

We are getting a new supermarket soon which will bring more people to the village. It is a lovely place to live in and a lovely place to work in. Wendy has made this night a massive success."
