Kylie Launches Stockport Food and Drink Festival

Stockport Food and Drink Festival was launched in style with 'Icing on the Cake' at Stockport Tourist Information Centre.
Launching the second Stockport Food and Drink Festival are, from the left,
Alison Farthing, Stockport Council's Tourism Development Manager; George
Vassiliou from Amici Trattoria and Kylie Brown from Cakes for Occasions.
Two festival newcomers combined with the perfect ingredients for the launch event: delicious, handmade cake and sparkling champagne. Kylie Brown from Cakes for Occasions in the Covered Market Hall handcrafted a special festival cake and George Vassiliou from Amici in Heaviley served champagne and Italian biscuits.
The second scrumptious Stockport Food and Drink Festival features special events at venues throughout the borough until 13th October.
Councillor Kevin Hogg, Executive Member for Regeneration, said: "Make sure you get down to the Tourist Information Centre and pick up a brochure, or visit the website to find out what tasty event takes your fancy There's something for everyone throughout the 10 days, so make sure you join in the foodie fun."
