Man dies after colliding with car

Greater Manchester Police logoA man has died after being in collision with a car in Cheadle

At about 8.30pm on Tuesday 7 October 2008, police were called to Kingsway, close to the M60 junction, following reports a car had collided with a pedestrian.

Officers attended and found a 35-year-old man with serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital but later died.

The road was closed for around six hours while officers dealt with the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to contact the road policing unit on 0161 856 6173.
