Tribute to Pensioner who Died in Heald Green Fail to Stop Collision

The family of a pensioner who died following a collision in Heald Green have paid tribute to her.

DORIS Wade's three children, Robert, Peter and Cynthia, along with her six grandchildren and great-grandchildren said: "She was a very happy, active lady, who loved her garden and travelling. She also enjoyed walking with many of her friends.
"We will all sadly miss her."
Doris Wade, aged 89, died on Wednesday 8 October 2008, after colliding with a car on Turves Road shortly before 10am. The car failed to stop at the scene.
Witnesses who saw the car described it as blue and of a similar size to a Nissan Micra or Peugeot.
