Man arrested following fatal fail-to-stop - Heald Green

Detectives investigating a fatal road traffic collision which claimed the life of 89-year-old Doris Wade have today, Monday 13 October 2008, made an arrest.
Doris died on Wednesday 8 October 2008, after colliding with a car on Turves Road, Heald Green, shortly before 10am. The car failed to stop at the scene.
Officers today arrested a 56-year-old man from Cheadle Hulme on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He is currently being interviewed by officers.
