Help us to shape Cheadle - State of the Area debate

Cheadle Area Committee
People are being encouraged to attend special events, hosted by Stockport Council's Area Committees in October, and give their opinions on issues facing local communities including the parks and open spaces, the environment, and volunteering.
Cheadle residents are being asked for their views on how to make their local community stronger. You are asked to come to this meeting and participate in debates on any issues you many have along with representatives from CVS (Community Volunteer Service), Age concern, Link (NHS - Patient's Organisation), Welfare Rights, The Credit Union, Community Safety Unit, The Area Conditions and the Recycling Officers. The Cheadle is 14th October at 3pm - see map of venue below.
These debates could focus on issues specific to for example anti-social behaviour, working together to improve and clean up an area, and the needs of younger and older residents.
These events form part of the Council's annual State of the Area debates which this year has a theme of Stronger Communities. Feedback from local people will help the Council, and its partners, to plan future services.
The dates and venues of the events are, in date order:
- Werneth Area Committee: Tuesday 7 October at 5pm at Romiley Primary School on Sandy Lane;
- Tame Valley Area Committee: Monday 13 October at 6pm at Stockport Town Hall;
Cheadle Area Committee: Tuesday 14 October from 3pm at Ladybridge Residents Club, Edenbridge Road, Cheadle Hulme; (Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme North, Gatley, Heald Green wards)
- Stepping Hill Area Committee: Wednesday 15 October at 3pm at Stockport Town Hall;
- Four Heatons Area Committee: Thursday 16 October at 6pm at Heatons Centre, Thornfield Road, Heaton Moor;
- Marple Area Committee: Wednesday 22 October at 6pm at Marple Library, Marple Memorial Park;
Bramhall Area Committee: Thursday 23 October from 3pm at Bramhall Methodist Church, Bramhall Lane South; (Cheadle Hulme South Ward).
- Victoria Area Committee: Councillors are holding a separate event for each ward - exact details are being finalised.
