Stockport Council is holding its third Equestrian User Group on Wednesday 22nd October and is encouraging all people with an interest in equestrian or bridleway use to come along.
The meeting will be held in Stockport Town Hall, from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. People will have the chance to address issues such as the promotion of horse riding, the use of bridleways, carriage driving topics, concerns relating to riding/driving on the roads and how horse riding, for leisure or travel, could be improved in Stockport.
Councillor David White, Executive Member for Transportation, said: "Our walking and cycling user groups have proved very popular over the years as people have participated in the development and improvement of roads and footpaths. Like these two groups, horse riders are also vulnerable road users and we want to make sure that where possible we can identify their concerns, design schemes which are practical and help promote the use of bridleways throughout Stockport's beautiful countryside."
