Police in Stockport are going the extra mile to build relationships with communities.
Officers from the Stockport West Neighbourhood Policing Team are participating in the Bramhall Park Time Trial on Saturday 11 October. They will also have a crime reduction stall at Bramhall Precinct between 9am and 11.30am where members of the public can pick up simple safety tips and have their valuables property marked.
PCSO Helen Hunt who is taking part in the 5k run said: "The run takes place every week and it is a fantastic way to further the relationships with the local people.
"We have made a commitment to take part every five weeks. As it is a weekly event we would encourage people to come along and have a go themselves. It really doesn't matter if you aren't an experienced runner - just come along and do your best."
Officers will also host a raffle and proceeds will go to a local charity or club. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the crime reduction stall in the precinct and the first five runners of the run will receive a free ticket.
Further information on the run can be found at www.bramhall.parkrun.com.
