Summer Activities at Staricase House and Stockport Story

Children are being encouraged to come along to Staircase House and Stockport Story Museum to take part in a series of summer activities.
Calligraphy in Staircase House.
So why not spend the school holidays having a go at the following activities:
Decorative Notebooks and Calligraphy:
Thursday 7th August.
Morning session 10.00am to 12.00pm for ages 4 to 7.
Afternoon session 1.00pm to 3.00pm for ages 8 to 11.
Decorate a notebook with funky designs and use an old-fashioned quill pen to write your name in calligraphy.
Decorative Plates:
Tuesday 12th August.
10.00am to 12.00pm.
Suitable for ages 8 to 14.
Design and decorate your own plate using the art of decoupage, with paints to create a 19th century relic inspired by Staircase House.
Fabric Fun:
Wednesday 13th August.
Morning session: 10.00am to 12.00pm.
Afternoon session: 1.00pm to 3.00pm.
Print your own piece of fabric inspired by the patterns found in Staircase House. Suitable for all ages but adults must be accompanied by a child!
Creative Bookmarks Drop in Fun:
Monday 18th August.
1.00pm to 4.00pm.
Suitable for all ages, Stockport Story invites you to drop in and have a go at making your very own bookmark and afterwards, listen to storytelling in the gallery.
Build a Castle:
Thursday 21st August.
Afternoon session: 1.00pm to 3.00pm for ages 8 to 11.
Create a medieval castle using a variety of household objects, paint, card and lots of imagination.
