A special Producers' Market in Stockport Town Centre, historic Market and Underbanks will launch this year's appetizing Food and Drink Festival on Friday 3rd October.

From 10.00am - 4.00pm come along and bag yourself some of the region's finest produce, including the very best breads, soups, cheeses, meats, sweets, pastries and hot food.
Food not only tastes better when it is fresh and local but is also better for you and the environment. So save on those food miles and get yourself some tasty local delicacies.
Local celebrity chef Brian Mellor will be cooking up a storm in the Covered Market Hall from 11.30am, with demonstrations on how to make the very best of local produce. He is a passionate supporter of specialist food producers in the North West and has been involved in everything from cooking for celebrities and teaching dinner ladies, to television appearances and judging cookery competitions.
Jazzing up the occasion on Bridge Street will be Live Jazz North West, a talented trio with Paul Baylis on Saxophone, Vinnie Parker on Piano and Nick Blacka on Double Bass playing some tasty tracks to get you in the mood.
So make sure you come along, pick up some tasty treats and some top tips to boot!
