Pupils from Neston Primary School went to Neston Community & Youth Centre today to collect their prizes for the recent Art Competition.
Prizes of gift vouchers from Gallery 2000 were provided by The Rotary Club of Neston, and Peter Weston, Rotary Club member and Chairman of NC&YC, was on hand today to make the presentation.
Three out of four of the winners were from Neston Primary: Jesse McEvoy (Winner, 8's & Under), Joshua Molyneux (Winner, 9's & Over) and Phoebe Connah (Runner-up, 8's & Under). Daniel Penny (Runner-up, 9's & Over) is a pupil at Neston High School, and he will be presented with his prize later this week.
Children throughout the CH64 area were invited to submit their entries to the competition, which was part of the recent Neston Spring Festival of St George.
Several Neston Primary pupils created pieces of art that told the story of St George. These are now displayed side by side, along with all the other entries, at NC&YC, where members of the public are welcome to go along and have a look throughout this week.
