The youngest and eldest pupils at Neston Primary School, Burton Road were invited to 'cut the ribbon' and officially open the schools new art and cookery room, which the children have christened 'The Creative Den'.
The room was opened as part of a special evening at which guests were treated to a buffet, a bingo session and had the opportunity to take part in an African drumming session.
The evening was a huge success and the children, staff and Governors were delighted to open "The Den" after months of fund-raising and transforming the room.
The new kitchen was fitted by members of staff and parents with the help of a very kind donation from URENCO, Capenhurst.
Headteacher Rob Golding said "We are delighted to open this fantastic new resource and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped us achieve our aim."
