Pupils from Neston Primary School celebrated being awarded the 'Eco-Schools Silver Award' recently.
Members of the school's 'Eco Warrior Club' encouraged classmates, staff and parents to reduce, recycle and reuse.
The children have been responsible for introducing composting, water saving, energy saving light bulbs and the recycling of printer cartridges, paper, batteries, clothes and mobile phones.
Members of the club carried out an audit of the school and suggested ways to save energy and avoid unnecessary waste.
Deputy Head Teacher Mrs Annabel Elliot said: "The children are very keen to do their bit and encourage others to help too.
"The Eco Warriors have done a fantastic job and we were delighted to receive our Silver Award. The children want to do even more and gain the next award.
"Of the nineteen extra-curricular activities we offer at school - our Eco-Warriors is one of the most popular."
