Newshounds from Neston Primary School have emerged as potential rivals to AboutMyArea with the publication of their latest magazine.
A group of pupils have recently written and published the 7th issue of their termly magazine - "Hello from Neston Primary School."
The magazine, containing photos and articles about school events, is written by seven Year 6 pupils with the support of teacher Miss Emma Hopkinson. It is distributed to parents, neighbours of the school and some local businesses. The newsletter is also sent to Neston Primary's link schools in Uganda and Ghana.
Miss Hopkinson said: "We know that we have readers in Neston and around the UK as people have been kind enough to send messages of support and encouragement.
"We also know that the newsletter is sent to Brazil, New Zealand and Australia. The children are keen to see just how far away their work is read."
One of the writers - David Noble said, "We try to improve every issue and make it interesting for all of our readers. We have already started planning issue 8, which will be published at Easter 2011."
