Fundraising Update for 'Save Our Sue'
| Published: 9th November 2011 09:15 |
A massive fundraising effort is underway to help raise money for a Wirral family.
Sue Saul, pictured with her two young daughters.
Sue Saul, wife of Marcus and mother of Seren and Estelle, is fighting osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer. Potentially life-saving treatment is available abroad, but obviously not on the NHS.
As a result, her friends and family are appealing to as many people as possible to help them reach their target of at least £50,000 to pay for her treatment.
A number of fundraising events have already taken place, with more in the pipeline.
So far, around £41,000 has been raised (or pledged). Linda Pelling has been taking photographs for some fundraising Christmas Cards - these are now on sale in Thornton Hough at the Village Hall, the Seven Stars pub and post office.
Sue has now left for Germany to begin her treatment. The money raised in such a short time is fantastic, but more is needed, so please support the cause in whatever way you can.
- Join the Save Our Sue facebook page, and share with your friends;
- Donate via paypal - make your payment to: saveoursue@me.com - just £1 from everyone, and the fund will be well on its way to the target amount.
Please take the time to help. These two small actions will help transform not just Sue's life but also Marcus' and their two children Seren and Estelle.
