Having secured a number of grants, Little Actors Theatre are now able to offer their drama, singing and dancing classes to all families, whatever their financial circumstances.

Little Actors offers classes for children aged 2 ½ - 11. Theatre Club is for 5-11 year olds and the children spend two hours doing a drama class and a singing/dance class.
The DramaTots is for 2 ½ - 4 year olds and their parents/carers and is a combination class of singing, dance and role play. The classes are taught by professional actors who are all Equity members and teach children alongside their professional theatre, radio and TV careers.
As a result of grants from the Granada Foundation, The John Thaw Foundation, Adactus Housing Association and Neston Town Council, we are able to offer discounts and scholarships for children from low income or unwaged families.
Little Actors is committed to making access to the arts accessible to all. The free places (for unwaged families) and half price places (for low income families) will enable children to access a professional theatre school whilst their parents are perhaps going through financial difficulties as a result, for example, of the current economic climate. At the moment this offer is for the spring term 2012 but we are hoping to roll this offer out for longer, subject to further successful grant applications.
Research shows how participation in the arts can improve health and wellbeing. For children there are also the added benefits of learning theatre skills as well as building confidence, developing self-esteem, communication skills, musicality, imagination, gross and fine motor skills, encouraging literacy appreciation plus having fun. We can also offer mentoring and advice for young people who may wish to pursue a career in the performing arts.
The classes take place on Saturday morning. 9.30am for DramaTots and 10.15am-12.15pm for Theatre Club. The venue is the NC&YC, Burton Road, CH64.
