A day at Ness Gardens that's all about Bees.  Sunday 17th June, 10am to 4pm.

Programme

Bee Identification and advice with Ted Brabin a local bee keeper - 10:00-4:00
Location: In the exhibition area.

Bee Cart with Pif Paf 11:00-12.00, 2:00-3:00
Pif-Paf will be touring the gardens with their bee cart and Gardens. Location Gardens, hulme if weather inclement.

Waggle Dancing Workshop 12:30-1.15, 3:15-4:00
Come and learn all about how bee's talk to each other in a waggle dancing workshop with Pif-Paf. Location: gardens, hulme if weather inclement

Kids Bee Cartooning 10:00-4:00
Learn how to draw cartoons with Paul Wilcox, fun children's bee cartoon creations workshops in the exhibition area.
If weather glorious this will take place outside the garden entrance. No need to book just come along.

Bee Themed Facepainting with Occasion Parties 11:00-3:00
Come along and get your face painted as a bumble bee or perhaps a flower or even a honey pot! If weather glorious this will take place outside the garden entrance.

John White - Woodcarving Demonstrations in the gardens 10:00 - 4:00
Location: In the gardens on the main lawn.

Bee Identification guided walks with Carl Clee 10:30, 12:30, 2:30
Carl Clee is the curator at the World Museum. He will be teaching people how to identify a number of different species of bee.
Meet in the Lecture Theatre
If weather inclement then Carl will do talks in the Lecture Theatre instead at the designated times.

Honey tasting and bee colouring sheets 10:00-4:00
Come and taste a variety of different honey! Location: Exhibition area.

Wirral Wildlife Trust 10:00 - 4:00
Location: Exhibition area.

Taste of Ness
Buy a jar of Ness' own honey in our shop. Limited jars available and only on sale on 17th June!!!!

Friends of Ness Gardens Sunday Funday

Activity 11:00-3:00 - Crime Scene Investigation with a focus on forensic botany.
There has been a robbery at Ness. Who stole Henrietta the ex-battery chicken from Ness' new hen coup and why? Henrietta could only be sold on for a few pounds so why was she taken?
Use your problem solving skills to find the solution on the specially designed family trail? Find the clues around the gardens and piece together who dunnit!!
Bookable on the day only at reception - Places are limited. Location: Bulley room.

Fun Crime Scene Trail 10:00 - 5.00
No need to book just pick up at reception. Location: Gardens

All Swarm events are free - If an event is in the garden admission will apply.
Friends Sunday Funday activities - admission applies, Friends of Ness Gardens go free.
