Neston's Hip & Harmony Choir Sing for Rotary Supper

Following an impromptu performance during a Rotary night out in Neston last month, members have now made a donation to Hip & Harmony Adult Community Choir.
In July, 32 members of the Rotary Club of Saughall, near Chester, had a meal out at Kri Kri Greek Taverna in Neston.
Andreas and Rachael Perros made them very welcome. The food and service was excellent, the wine flowed and everybody had a good time.
One of the Rotary members, Roy Wilson, who lives in the area, saw Paula Prytherch in the Taverna with some members of the Hip & Harmony Adult Community Choir and, having seen and heard them in action at many local events, asked if it would it be possible for them to sing a couple of songs for his fellow Rotary members.
They jumped at the chance to perform and sang a few numbers, which was fully appreciated.
At a Rotary meeting the following week, the members all agreed that they had a good night out and that the choir's impromptu performance was the icing on the cake. The club then voted to donate £100 to the choir.
On Thursday, 22 August, Paula, along with Carrie Spacey (both Directors of Hip & Harmony CIC) visited the Saughall Club, where Paula gave a brief talk about how the choir started. Club President Julie Davey then presented them with the cheque. Paula and Carrie thanked the Club for their generosity, explaining that the donation would go towards room hire fees.

Another visitor to the club was the current Rotary Governor of District 1180, Phillip Horwood, who was delighted to see money going to such a good cause.
