Who's up for a Great Get Together in Neston This Summer?

The Big Lunch, a national initiative born out of the Eden Project, has been celebrated in Neston in early June for a number of years.
This year, the Big Lunch will be held on Sunday 18 June, later in the month than usual, to be part of a new, UK-wide initiative - The Great Get Together. National organisers say they want the whole weekend to be ‘the biggest street party since the Jubilee.'

The initiative has been inspired by the tragic death of MP Jo Cox in June last year. Organisers say: "Jo's killing was meant to divide us and we think the best response is to show how united we are. We believe there is a groundswell of people who reject divisive politics and simply want to bring our communities together and celebrate all that unites us. This is our chance."
The Great Get Together is an opportunity for communities large and small to come together to celebrate friendship, fun and acceptance of all. Here in Neston that will be celebrated at the CH64 Big Lunch, on Sunday 18th June from 12noon to 4pm at Stanney Fields Park, organised by the CH64 Events Group and Neston Community Youth Centre. Everyone is welcome to come along, bring food, meet people, enjoy music, play games and lots more.
More information to come, for now, save the date and look forward to a Great Get Together at the CH64 Big Lunch.
