Stockley Farm - the hands-on family day out whatever the weather
|Published: 9th July 2008 13:44|
Stockley Farm is an organic farm set in the beautiful Cheshire Countryside on the Arley Estate.
A tractor and trailer brings you down to the farm. Visit the baby animals and birds of prey, watch the cows being milked and join in the fun at bottle feed time.
There are talks and demonstrations throughout the holidays from ‘how we milk cows' to ‘where our food comes from' and ‘how we care for animals'.
Colouring competitions and themed quizzes run throughout the holidays changing weekly from pig week to cow week to welly week !
Daily we bottle feed the baby animals and have lots of fun at sheep racing time.
Birds of prey displays take place on selected days.
The Willow Barn Tearoom provides a wide selection of home made food served daily, including hot and cold meals, snacks and home made cakes. Locally produced real dairy ice cream is also available from the Ice cream kiosk. Indoor and outdoor picnic areas.
Food available in the tearoom is freshly prepared, staff are able to cater for most dietary requirements from vegetarian and vegan and the majority food is organic and produced locally.
