really great and historical finds on the brook street dig-but if sainsburys were not coming to neston would these treasures from old neston-remain buried? and if they have been there for(what it seems)hundreds of years then why the hell have they remained buried for centuries??

I think what we are seeing are the foundations of properties that have existed in living memory, I am sure there are older Nestonians that can give a little information about the sandstone cottages that where on that site

I think that the buildings exposed on the site are, the old public toilets from the 1960's and Fawcetts second hand shop which was a big house on the site in the 1960s. I may be totally wrong, but there the only buildings I can remember there.
