Where in the World is Neston?

For those in Neston, it might be assumed you know where Neston is, and in the past, Neston as we know it was Great Neston, and that there is a Little Neston.

We also have Neston Road wending it's way from sunny Wales. Many will also know of Easton Neston, a country house near Towcester, Northamptonshire, part of the Easton Neston Parish.

Did you know however there is a residential road simply called 'Neston' in San Antonio, Texas USA, and parallel roads include Stockport, Chipping, Winsford and Old Ham. Methinks a British builder has escaped these shores. Then there is a house called 'Neston' near Martinsville, Virginia, United States, near the famous Blue Ridge Mountains, and the nearest main road is "Preston Road".

Travelling north from the Blue Ridge Mountains, we find "Neston Lake" at Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, around 400 miles east of Winnipeg. Closer to home of course is Neston Drive in Nottingham, Neston Avenue in Bolton and Neston Street, Preston. (Just off Downing Street as it happens.) However, jetting off again, we come to Neston Avenue Plympton, Adelaide, Australia.
