Community Centre Makes Welcome Return

The people of Palacefields welcomed the re-opening of it's Community Centre on the 19th May, after refurbishments were completed. The Centre now has a fully functional kitchen, new decor, and a modern cooling system that will be a great addition on hot summer days.

10'000 - 11'000 visits will be made to Palacefields Community Centre this year, and it remains a central part of the local community, offering a wide range of groups and activities to people in the area, from Line Dancing to Martial Arts. Keep an eye out for events happening soon to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Community Centre, on the 28th August.

Having visited the  Centre myself, I found a real sense of community here, and everyone is welcome to drop in and see what's on offer.

The Community Cafe:

The Community Cafe is open to the public on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.15am to 11.30am.

Here is the current breakfast menu:

Bacon, egg, sausage, beans, tomato, toast and a bottomless cuppa! - £2.50

Bacon on toast - £1.25

Sausage on toast - £1.00

Fried Egg on toast - £1.00

Scrambled Egg on toast - £1.25

Beans on toast - £1.00

Spaghetti on toast - £1.00

Toasted tea cake - 40p

A 3 course lunch is available on a Friday at 12.30pm for only £2.00. All adults are welcome, but if possible we recommend you call the day before to reserve a place.

Yes, the centre is available for private hire, here are all the details for the venue:

The Community Centre may be hired for private parties, events or meetings, on:

Saturdays until 11.00am

Sundays until 5.00pm

and at other times during the week subject to availability. A non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking. Cheques should be made payable to Four Estates Ltd.

The centre office is open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 12noon. Telephone 01928 796235
