Christmas Debt-Help is at hand!

Darren Millar, Assembly Member for Clwyd West, is encouraging those who are struggling with post-Christmas debt to take advantage of a free debt counselling service based in his constituency.
Award winning charity CAP (Christians Against Poverty) established a centre in Towyn in partnership with North Coast Church in October 2006 and their services are growing rapidly.
The service offers practical advice and support to help clients throughout Conwy and Denbighshire to overcome debt, through budgeting, renegotiation of terms with creditors and an insolvency service.
Darren Millar AM, said, ‘Christmas bills often take some weeks to come in, especially where credit and store cards are concerned, and many people find that they have spent far more than they had originally anticipated. Fortunately, for the people of Conwy and Denbighshire, the services provided by the CAP centre in Towyn are at hand for those who find themselves overwhelmed by the debt related problems that the New Year can bring.
‘At this time of year I would encourage anyone who is struggling with debt to take advantage of the free services provided by CAP. They do a fantastic job in assisting people to get out of debt and are making a huge difference in the lives of those people who have been helped since the centre in Towyn was opened in 2006.'
The centre operates from 9am to 5pm, Wednesday to Friday. For further information on the service or to book an appointment please contact centre manager, Matt Hazelwood on 01745 331705.
